Country´s Exhibition "Franconia in Bavaria", Nürnberg, Germany, 2006
200 years of Franconians in Bavaria
The "Industriekultur" museum in Nuremberg presented the past 200 years of Franconian history with its changes in politics and society. The exhibition sketched the long journey that led the Franconians to become part of Bavaria and up to today this area still represents a very important economic part of Bavaria.
"Industriekultur" Museum
The exhibition showed the long journey that led the Franconians to become part of Bavaria, starting with the French Revolution, the end of the Holy Roman Empire and the wars of liberation right through to a Bavaria almost entirely occupied by Franconians. It was staged in the museum called "Industriekultur" in Nuremberg which used to be a manufacturing hall from the time of the industrial revolution. The height of the rooms and the current lighting installation placed high demands on the architects involved and the light planners.
Lighting installation
The light designers abandoned basic lighting and therefore integrated the light sources in the vitrines as far as possible. For big exhibits narrow-bundled spots were planned in order to show the objects in the limelight. For the numerous large exhibits, light was used to illustrate the details.
