Active and Relax - a new pair of incandescent lamps from Osram:

Two new incandescent lamps from Osram offer excellent light with a feel-good factor. Active and Relax provide the right light in the home whether you want to be active or to relax.
Two new incandescent lamps from Osram put a whole new perspective on lighting in the home. The Active lamp offers natural fresh white light. It is therefore the ideal light for activities in the home. In the home office, for example, the Active lamp provides bright light similar to natural daylight that improves contrast and shows colours in their natural tones. Light from the Active lamp is right for rooms where people are involved in their hobbies and, and it’s also perfect for the kitchen. The natural fresh effect is achieved by a coating of crystalline prismatic micro-particles on the bulb.
"Lighting design presents so many options. It is much more than simply selecting brightness levels or controlling the light with dimmers. The different light colours of different light sources enable us to create specific atmospheres and moods in our homes. We can therefore encourage activity or relaxation", said Christiane Scheu, a Munich interior designer.
Switch on Relax and switch off your mind
The Relax lamp creates a warm and welcoming light for rest and relaxation. Unlike conventional coloured incandescent lamps, Relax offers good colour rendering so furnishings in the home retain their character. If you are keen to switch off at home and make yourself comfortable, you will find the Relax lamp a wonderful help. The effect is achieved by a coating of gently contoured micro-particles - warm-white for the right feel-good atmosphere.
Shaping up
The incandescent lamp has been given a new shape in the form of the Active and Relax lamps. The bulb has an eye-catching new design and is easily recognisable. With their classic E27 bases, the two lamps can be used as direct replacements for ordinary light bulbs. The Active lamp will be used wherever high lighting levels are needed. It is therefore offered in 60 W and 100 W versions. The Relax lamp is designed to provide a soft relaxing light and will therefore be available in 40 W and 60 W versions.
The incandescent lamp - a classic
Incandescent lamps are still one of the most popular sources of light. They are easy to buy and easy to fit. In July 2004 Osram launched them with the classic shape but with trendy halogen lamp light, bringing this old favourite right up to date. With the new generation of Active and Relax lamps it is now possible to create individual lighting moods.
