ARRI OSRAM awards at the Munich Film Festival: "HORSE MONEY" is the winner in "Best foreign movie" category
For the third time, ARRI and OSRAM Specialty Lighting together presented the award for the best foreign film last Saturday, 4th July 2015, at the Filmfest München (Munich Film Festival). It went the to Portuguese film HORSE MONEY (CAVALO DINEIRO), directed by Pedro Costa and produced by Abel Ribeiro Chaves.
Once again this year, the Munich Film Festival concluded in the Carl Orff Hall in Gasteig with a series of awards for the most successful films at the festival. The award for the best international film was presented by Hans-Joachim Schwabe, CEO of OSRAM Specialty Lighting, together with Jörg Pohlman of ARRI.
"OSRAM has been working closely with the film industry for many years. Our products are used not only to put actors in the right light on set but also to project films onto cinema screens. Once again this year we are pleased to support filmmakers with this award", said Mr Schwabe after the ceremony. An independent jury of three man chose the Portuguese film HORSE MONEY (CAVALO DINEIRO) as the best foreign film among the twelve nominations. The award has a value of 50,000 euros.
On several occasions, both OSRAM as the lighting and projection expert and ARRI as the specialist in professional camera and lighting equipment, have previously been presented with an Oscar for their services to the film industry.
